15 minutes from Şakran: an open-air wedding in Aliağa

If you live in Şakran and are planning a wedding, you'll either look along the coast or come down to Aliağa. From Yenişakran to us it's about 15 km on the Izmir–Çanakkale road, around 15 minutes. Şakran is part of Aliağa anyway, and most of your guests probably live either in Şakran or in Aliağa.

In summer Şakran gets busy with people staying in their holiday homes. Our wedding season falls in the same months, from May to October. Relatives staying in their holiday homes can be here in 15 minutes, away from the crowds on the coast.

The garden

Vionna is an open-air wedding garden in the centre of Aliağa. The tables are set under the trees, and the dance floor is under the lights. There's an arched bridal aisle at the entrance and a separate bridal suite for the bride and groom. The garden holds up to 1,200 people, and there's a car park.

We run two sessions a day, midday and evening, and there's only one event in the garden in each session. As well as weddings, we host engagement parties, henna nights, civil ceremonies, church-style ceremonies, graduation parties, hen and stag parties, birthday parties and circumcision celebrations (sünnet).
