Is it worth coming from Izmir to Aliağa for an outdoor wedding?

Some couples looking for a wedding venue in Izmir end up saying the same thing at some point: "We don't want an indoor hall, we want it outdoors." It's hard to find that much space inside the city, so the search naturally turns into "outdoor wedding Izmir". Most people think of Aliağa late in that search, because they assume it's far away.

From Karşıyaka to us it's about 35 minutes on the motorway. From Çiğli it's around 45 km. Our garden is in the centre of Aliağa. You come off the motorway and you're here in a few minutes, with no hunting for an address along dirt roads. There's a car park.

For guests without a car, Aliağa is the last stop at the northern end of the İZBAN commuter train line. It's about 50 minutes from Karşıyaka, and the garden is 2 km from the station. At an evening wedding the journey home will be late, so if you have a large group, hiring a shuttle bus is easier.

What's in the garden?

Tables set under the trees, a dance floor under string lights, an arched bridal aisle, a pavilion with columns and a separate bridal suite for the bride and groom. The garden holds up to 1,200 people. There are two sessions a day, midday and evening, and we host only one event per session.

We don't have an indoor hall. That's why our season runs from May to October.

Look at your guest list first

Before you decide, take a rough look at where your guests live. If most of them are around Karşıyaka, Çiğli, Menemen, Aliağa or Foça, Aliağa turns out to be as close as a hall on the other side of the city.
